Austin is known for having so many locally-owned coffee joints, so visiting your neighborhood barista is one of the easiest ways to support our local economy. Here is a list of my top 5.

@cosmiccoffeebeer -Cosmic Coffee is a coffee shop and bar with specialty coffee, food trucks, locally brewed draft beer and cocktails, a sustainable garden on-site, chickens, and live music and shows. The food trucks parked here are Leroy and Lewis famous BBQ, Pueblo Viejo tacos, and Tommy Want Wingy.

@radiocoffeeandbeer -Radio is a cross between a coffee shop and beer garden in South Austin, with a Veracruz All Natural Tacos, Dee-Dees Thai, and Briscuits food trucks conveniently parked outside on the patio. Radio has the best weekly Bluegrass night on Mondays starting at 8:00 pm.

@plazacolombian -Hip, tropical-looking coffee shop featuring Columbian bites like empanadas, Colombian hot dogs & arepas. Happy Hour runs from 3:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Live music every Friday night on the patio starting at 8:00 pm. They also have Brunch Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.

Featured here is the Cold Brew from Plaza Colombian.

@betterhalfbar-This all-day coffee shop and bar serves good food, vibes and drinks with a great happy hour and a large dog-friendly patio. They serve delicious dishes like chicken burgers and bites like the Pastrami Loaded Queso or Cauliflower Tots with Beet Ketchup. My drink of choice is a Thai Iced Coffee made of Cold Brew, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Cardamom, Chocolate Bitters. They have a wonderful Happy Hour Tuesday-Friday and Saturday from 3:00-6:00 pm with $6.00 cheeseburgers(beef, chicken or veggie) and $2.50-$6.00 beer and Sangria specials.

@gopuffkitchen-@gopuff has now opened @gopuffkitchen serving up tasty local coffee by @littlecoffeeco with unique flavors such as honey lavender, sea salt caramel and strawberry shortcake for the coffees & matchas. My fav was the honey lavender matcha. They are serving up food as well with options like chicken tenders, pizza(gf & cauliflower available), breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

You can order through the @Gopuff app or at the brew-tiful walk up window located at 706 N Lamar. Use my code “ YVETTE30” to get $10 off your first 3 orders.
